4/22/2026: Here we go again! : Amicalola Falls State Park & AT Southern Terminus at Springer Mountain, GA (At mile 0)

On my way to Atlanta, Georgia, from San Francisco, flying over the CDT in the Rockies. I was surprised to see almost no snow and became jealous of the class of 2026 CDT NOBO hikers!
My friend Deven picked me up at Atlanta Airport and took me to her home. A wonderful Asian-themed dinner filled me up not only my belly but also my soul by consuming my people’s food as my last meal before the AT thru-hiking

I have the least knowledge and experience of hiking on the East Coast. I’m curious. I’m nervous about the humid, hot weather and rain. I’m excited for whatever unfolds. I am grateful to have an incredible family and friends who support me. This is only possible because of people like you, and I hope you come along with me on this journey.

With that, cheers to the new full circle journey! Here we go again!

Special thanks to Deven for being my trail angel in Atlanta and making it very easy to transition to the trail life!

Like this person on the plaque, I’m taking my first step at mile zero!
