5/9/2025: Here we go! Again. Cuba, NM (At mile 628)

It’s been almost a year since I have taken a major trail. I’m back in Cuba, New Mexico where I left last year. I’m excited.

I’m nervous. I’m doubtful. I’m grateful. With these mixed emotions, I’m ready. Whatever unfolds, I’m prepared to meet where I am and whatever comes to my way. Most of all, I’m thrilled to immerse myself in nature. Thank you Bhavana, Zoë and Bill for making this transition to my trail life easier. Logistics are complicated and incredibly important to pull off a long-distance hiking adventure. I have so many people who are supporting me. With you in mind, “Here we go!”

At the CDT trailhead entering the San Pedro Wilderness Park, all ready to go!
Thank you, Bill, one of the CDT trail camp’s volunteer trail angels, for the ride two years in a row!
I’m starting at where the star is, approximately 2,600 miles to Canada
What a privilege to be able to live my dream! So grateful for this opportunity, family, friends, and Mother Nature
